In René Magritte’s Le fils de l’homme, a green apple obscures the face of an otherwise familiar man. What is visible prevents us from seeing what lies behind it.

Still Loading revisits that tension in a digital age. The apple has disappeared. In its place is an interface, endlessly suggesting that something is about to appear.

Yet a person is never finished loading.
